Story: Armed security guards with locked Haliburton cases. The entire cast and crew required to surrender their cell phones. A secret service-style perimeter set up around the location so no one without an ID matching a name on the list could enter the set. A special tent with engineers wearing headsets, satellite-linked to an offsite headquarters to communicate technical issue with the product in real time.

All pointing to … a top-secret tech launch to be sprung on the world mere days later and the necessity to keep the product information from leaking to competitors. The product? The Amazon Echo, precursor to what the entire world knows today as Alexa. The actors interfacing with the product were as much beta testers as characters in the spot. And the entire cast and crew were witness to technological history in the making.
